Speaker: Jan Groos

Abstract

Envisioning Alternative Governmentality

The talk proposes alternative governmentality as a theoretical framework for imagining and constructing post-capitalist futures. It combines perspectives from governmentality studies with contemporary debates about democratic economic planning, alternative organisation studies, and critical scholarship on alternatives to capitalism in order to develop a positive notion of governmentality beyond neoliberalism.
